Patient Vital Sign Monitoring

The health monitoring module connects to wearable medical devices — blood pressure monitors, pulse oximeters, fall detection wearables, and panic buttons. Each reading is evaluated against clinical thresholds in real time.

Blood Pressure Tracking

Systolic ≥ 160 or Diastolic ≥ 100 triggers critical alerts. Trend charts show 24h BP history.

Heart Rate & SpO2

HR > 120 bpm (warning), HR < 40 bpm (critical), SpO2 ≤ 92% (critical). Continuous monitoring.

Fall Detection

Accelerometer-based fall detection triggers instant CRITICAL alert with GPS coordinates.

Panic Button

One-press emergency activation sends instant CRITICAL alert with location to all contacts.

🏥 Real-Time Use Case

Mrs. Sharma, 68, wears a BP monitor that sends readings every 60 seconds. At 2:14 PM, the device reports systolic=178, diastolic=110. The alert engine evaluates: systolic ≥ 160 → CRITICAL. An incident is created. SMS sent to her son (family contact). Email sent to Dr. Patel. Dashboard card pulses red. Dr. Patel acknowledges via mobile app. Ambulance dispatched. Incident resolved at 2:26 PM.
